A new finite element method/boundary method (FEM/BEM) scheme is proposed for the solution of 2D magnetic static and quasi-static problems with unbounded domains. The novelty an original approach in treatment outer region. related domain integral eliminated at discrete level by using approximation fundamental solutions (Green’s functions) every node mesh. This “FEM-Green” replaces standard boundary method. It simpler to implement because no integration on required. Then, leads a substantially reduced computational burden. Moreover, coupling elements more natural since it based same Galerkin approximation. Some examples open nonlinear materials are presented compared
